Aesthetic crowns

Do you have extensive damage to your teeth? Want to cover imperfections and eat normally again?

We know that damaged teeth can seriously damage your confidence so if we believe that a dental crown is the best option for you, we’ll explain what it entails and how you will benefit.

Our experienced team of dentists can give you a beautiful, naturally looking aesthetic crown that covers imperfections like damage, gaps, and uneven teeth, boosts your confidence and restores normal function in your mouth.

Even if you have a fear of the dentist, our friendly team can put you at ease while giving you an attractive, permanent new smile.

What are aesthetic crowns?

Dental crowns or aesthetic crowns can save your natural tooth and restore your smile when it is severely damaged, and a filling isn’t an option.

If you’re not sure what a dental crown is, they are simply a tooth-shaped cover that fits over your existing tooth to protect it from further damage and allows you to eat normally and smile with confidence.

Whether you have extensive decay, chipped teeth, uneven shapes, tooth spacing or colour or you need to strengthen your tooth, our dental crown treatment may be the ideal solution for you.

Get aesthetic crowns and you’ll achieve the healthier, whiter smile that you dream of.

Why get aesthetic crowns?

Aesthetic crowns are an excellent solution if you have substantial damage to your teeth or want to achieve a more attractive, uniform smile. Here are some of the main reasons why you might consider getting aesthetic crowns fitted by us.

  • You have large cavities. Dental crowns are the ideal solution when you want to save your natural tooth but fillings aren’t enough.
  • You’ve damaged the enamel of your teeth. Whether grinding or clenching your teeth, acid erosion or injury has hurt your teeth, dental crowns can help.
  • You’ve had root canal treatment. Root canal treatment can leave your tooth more brittle than before. The ideal way to strengthen it is via an attractive dental crown.
  • You have unevenly shaped teeth or gaps. Because dental crowns cover the surface of your teeth, they can hide irregularities and give you a more beautiful smile.

Benefits of aesthetic crowns

  • Save a severely damaged tooth.
  • Get a permanent alternative to dentures.
  • Smile with confidence.
  • Enjoy eating your favourite foods again.

Your aesthetic crown journey

If your dentist has recommended that you need a dental crown, we’ll first invite you for a consultation appointment. This allows you to find out what is involved, ask questions, and check the overall health of your mouth.

When you’re happy to go ahead, you’ll return for your first appointment where your dentist will take impressions (moulds) of your natural teeth and send them to our lab technicians who will create your bespoke dental crown.

Then you will receive a local anaesthetic and your dentist will remove decay, clean your teeth, and shape your tooth in preparation for your permanent crowns.

Once your permanent crowns are ready, you’ll be invited back to our surgery for your second appointment for them to be fitted. This usually happens around two weeks after your first appointment.

Rest assured that throughout your journey, we will put you at ease, make you comfortable and ensure that you are fully informed about the procedure.

No, other people are unlikely to notice that you have a crown because they are made of beautiful and natural-looking materials that look like part of your natural smile.
